Two gorgeous layouts with our July kit - The Wayfarer

Hi fellow scrappers!
Sharon here sharing the first layout that I made with the

beautiful July Scraps of Darkness "The Wayfarer" kit:

The main kit contains gorgeous papers from the Blue Fern Studios' Wanderlust Collection:

And includes these awesome elements:

  • Blue Fern Studios Wanderlust 12x12 Printed Chipboard (19 pieces)
  • Blue Fern Studios Laser Cut Chipboard Word: Memories
  • Prima Traveler's Journal Ephemera and Stickers (104 pieces)
  • 49 and Market Vintage Shades Flowers: Yellow Bouquet
  • One 6x6" burlap paper sheet
  • 2 metal bird charms
  • 5 mini clothespins
I used blue and yellow cardstock included in the cardstock add-on that compliments the main kit papers beautifully:

Without further ado, here is my layout:

I featured a favorite photo that I took back in 2013 at Arrowhead Lake and a lyric from the song "Rocky Mountain High" by John Denver.

Just to show you that making a scrapbook page doesn't have to be a daunting project, I made this simple layout in just one day!

I enjoyed using many of the awesome elements contained in the the creativity add-on:

What a great time I had making my fist layout with the July Scraps of Darkness kit.

Today I would also like to share the second layout that I made with the July Scraps of Darkness "Wayfarer" kit.
As I said earlier, this kit contains VERY gorgeous papers from Blue Fern Studios' Wanderlust Collection.

These papers definitely remind me of years gone by!!!  I felt very nostalgic and couldn't wait to scrap a favorite old photo.

Here is the 12 X 12 layout I came up with:

I featured a treasured photo that was taken back in 1963 of my dad, mom, my twin sister, and me at the NJ shore.   I added hidden journaling on the back of my page about how my dad and mom didn't have much money back then, but they worked hard to take us on at least one day trip every summer to the shore.  I have many fond memories from those days!!!

I enjoyed using the frame and stamp set from the elements add-on and the transfers, stencil, and spritz from the creativity add-on.

Again, scrapbooking doesn't have to be difficult or overwhelming.  With just a few elements at your fingertips, you can create a layout in just one day!!!

Here are some close ups of my page:

I highly suggest that you head on over to the Scraps of Darkness store to learn more about them and how to sign up for their amazing kit club memberships.
Happy Scrapping!
