Sparkle & Shine: our August Scraps of Darkness kit

We have a new kit, Sparkle & Shine, and it's a beauty!

 Don't you just love pink and black together?  I do, and add in a little mint green and shimmery foiling and it's even more stunning! We paired up Prima Rose Quartz and Simple Stories Beautiful collections this month, and threw in a few other goodies, as well.

We have some beautiful kit add-ons too, of course:

Patterned Paper: these are the same papers you'll find in the main kit.

Coordinating Paper: these papers are not in the main kit, but they go beautifully with it. 

Elements: who doesn't want more embellishing options?!

Floral: you can never have too many flowers.

Creativity: this month it's a beautiful Carpe Diem A5 Undated Planner Boxed Set.

Creativity2: a little something extra to go with main Creativity Add On.

Cardstock: 6 sheets of solid cardstock that coordinates with the main kit.

And Color, our color mediums add on: 

As of the time of this post, we still have limited quantities available of everything except the Color Add On, which has already sold out, so stop by our store and pick up some scrapbooking fun!

Hello again !

Presenting today 2 layouts made with Scraps of Elegance June kit : Birds of a Feather.

Pink and Blue, love those colours together!  I  picked all of the Pink and Blue that I found in the Ephemera, and on the papers from the kit.  I mixed the Distress Ink with water in the background and I also used it to stamp with.

This is my all Blue layout ! I mixed Turquoise, light and dark blue for the whole layout.  I used all the beautiful flowers in the add-on kit :)

It's our July Scraps of Darkness kit, and we think it's pretty awesome, because we've included all 10 papers from Blue Fern Studios' gorgeous new Wanderlust collection, both printed and laser cut chipboard by Blue Fern, Prima Traveler's Journal Ephemera & Stickers, 49 and Market flowers, and more! 

You really have to see these Wanderlust papers in person to appreciate how truly beautiful they are, but we'll attempt to show you, with a photo of our Patterned Paper Add On:

Our June scrapbook kits: Seaside and Birds of a Feather

Summer is always a busy time here in Alaska (gotta get out and enjoy that warm weather!), so I haven't had a chance to share our June kits! (of course, you can always find our current kits on our website: www.scrapsofdarkness.com)

Our Scraps of Darkness June kit is a super fun beach themed kit, it's called Seaside,

and it features 49 and Market's gorgeous Sand and Sea and Kaisercraft's High Tide collection papers- it's the perfect kit for scrapping all those summer beach photos.

The ladies on our Design Team have been buy creating some gorgeous projects to inspire you with this kit.  A few of these we have already shared in separate posts, and a few of them we have not yet posted, and we will be showing them to you in detail in the coming weeks:

Our Scraps of Darkness May kit - Attic Finds

A little bit vintage, a little bit grunge, a little bit eclectic... that's our May Scraps of Darkness kit: Attic Finds!

Have you seen the new 7 Gypsies Architextures collection?  As soon as I saw it, I know I had to use it in a kit - it's just so darned much fun! Those ceiling tiles were just to die for, so I had to include them, and then I thought the Kaisercraft mini splatter template was just perfect for the kit.  You can't go wrong with Tim Holtz Ephemera, so that's in there, too, along with some cute metal charms by Scrapberry's, new Prima flowers, and a few other goodies.  You can see the full kit description here.
