Tetyana is here. I prepared for you something beautiful and inspiring! September kit has incredibly beautiful set of flowers and very inspiring paper. I decided to make several cards using these materials. Pastel flower paper, chipboard, flowers - I used all of these for my autumn cards.

Amazing Autumn themed cards - September Falling Leaves kit

Hello, hello! 

Sandi here with you today ... 

What a lovely weekend we had here in Texas .. and now it's time to get back to business, right? 

Today I'm sharing a fun card and tag set that I created using the September Scraps of Elegance Kit "Falling Leaves."  I'm always needing a card of some sort around here and having a co-ordinating tag for a gift is a real plus!

For the card I've primarily used along with flowers and embellishments from Prima's Amber Moon collection. Papers include Amber and Apricot Birdsong and Friendship as well as a small strip of Amber Moon's Pumpkin Season. The co-ordinating chipboard pieces are Blue Fern Studios and are found in the Elements add-on. I've tucked in lots of small bits of Prima's ephemera also from the Elements add-on. Flowers are all from the Floral add-on. Those wonderful Blue Fern Studios seedlings are from your amazing Main Kit! 

Just a little close-up of the seedlings and other details. 

Don't overlook the sweet leaf brad found in the Main Kit. Those add such a nice touch and are part of your Main Kit. 

I might have to keep this tag for myself because it just makes me happy! 

I went crazy on layers with Prima's Amber Moon ... Autumn Sunset (both sides), Pumpkin Love and Into the Woods. Punching the edges is so fun when you're doing tags and gives them such a great finished touch. Next I added layers of notecards and ephemera along with the Amber Moon flowers from the floral add-on. 

Here's a little close-up view. I've included the ribbon from the Main Kit but I snipped it really narrow for my use here and just tucked it in. 

Just a little dab of gesso and some tulle (stash) to complete the look.

Mixed Media layout and sweet cards - June Birds of a Feather kit

Nicole here again today to share with you

another layout created with the Scraps of Elegance June kit.

I was inspired by a mood board and sketch.  I love the beautiful feathery designs of the BoBunny Serendipity papers and all the die-cuts and chipboard shapes that went along with it.

I thought they were perfect for creating a whimsical and rustic page with a shabby chic twist to express the 'peace in my heart'.

The Scraps of Elegance main kit and floral add-on contain
gorgeous blooms from Prima, Petaloo and 49 and Market.
It is no surprise that flowers are my #1 crafty embellishment!

I sprinkled a fair share of glitter glass I received in a previous kit 

and sprayed on some white mist over my embellishments.

I found that this quote was a great complement to my overall design as well as the photo used that was taken at dusk on the boardwalk in my town. I try to find peace within myself every day which is a challenge, but sure is worth it in the end. Creating art always brings me a sense of peace and I'm ever so grateful for the ability (thank you Scraps of Elegance) and the inspiration to create.

With a kit called 'Birds of a Feather' and the lovely bird die cuts 

from the BoBunny Serendipity collection included in the June 

Scraps of Elegance kit, I just knew that I had to create this card set!

I created 3 birthday cards (sentiment in french), each one

with different color birds and birdhouse on a ivory and yellow base.

I think this one is my favorite simply because I love the look of this green birdie in flight.  In the BoBunny chipboard set from the kit, there are some framed images of the same birds. I used one on each card to match the die cut.

I love creating cards with leftovers from the kit.

I had more than enough die cuts, stickers, chipboard shapes, flowers to use on these cards, and I certainly could create more.

New Card-making Tutorial: Nautical Shaker Cards - June Seaside Kit

Hello! 

Tetyana here and I have some nautical inspiration for you today. 

I made two ocean themed shaker cards inspired by the Scraps Of Darkness June Kit: Seaside! This kit is filled with beautiful papers and flowers that combine perfectly together, which you can see in my projects. I decided to add a bit of sea to my cards by turning them into shakers.

Heartfelt Creations Petunias Tutorial - Make your own scrapbook flowers

Hi everyone! It's Tracey back with a new project and Technique Video Tutorial.

Do you enjoy creating handcrafted flowers? I simply adore them, so couldn't resist trying out the Heartfelt Creations Petunias in the Creativity and Creativity2 Add Ons. I really appreciate that Melinda does such a great job including supplies in her kits that I will be using for years to come on my projects.

I have several hanging baskets of petunias on our front deck that I enjoy every day as I look out my kitchen window. There is one variety that is particularly appealing to me. I don't know what they are called, but they are a gorgeous fuchsia with yellow/green centers. 

 

I used them as inspiration to color the flowers.

A close-up of the handcrafted petunias on the card.

The Blue Fern Studios Happy Accident paper in the May kit is fabulous! I've added stamping with the Blue Fern Studios Halftones Stamps from the Elements Add On. The sweet birthday sentiment is from the Small Classic Petunias Stamp Set. Additional grungy texture is added with Prills, chunky glass glitter, and spatters of white ink.

This sweet butterfly is from the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Botanical Ephemera pack that is loaded with gorgeous floral and butterfly images (Elements Add On).

I've used the same background textures on the tag.

The die cut flourish and smaller leaves are more Heartfelt Creations stamps and dies from my stash.
