18 Inspiring Halloween layouts and scrapbook projects

Tomorrow's the big day, and I was just thinking about the fun I've had putting together our Halloween kits over the last 6 years.  I was thinking it would be fun to do a post sharing those six kits, and some of the amazing projects the ladies our design team have created with them - a little inspiration for you, for all those spooky photos you are going to want to scrap after tomorrow!

To start, our newest Halloween kit - the October 2016 'Haunted' Kit:

 I'm not posting any projects with this kit yet - Laura's got plans for them! I think you might see one or two gorgeous projects tomorrow, ;)

Good morning!  We've got a sweet treat for you today!  Mandy Harrell has been working with our SOE Mary's Song kit this month, and she's done another wonderful video tutorial!

A layout, a video, and a giveaway!

We are thrilled to let you know Mandy Harrell is back!  Kind of, lol.  

As I'm sure many of you know, Mandy was on our design team from the beginning... she took a break from designing, and we were sorry to see her step down, but happy to say she's scrapping and posting her work again!  And while she hasn't joined our team, she did buy our September SOE kit, Mary's Song, and she has done a gorgeous layout with it!

Getting to know Mandy Harrell

Lets get to know Mandy!

Hi, I'm Mandy Harrell aka CraftySprinkles! I've been designing for Scraps of Darkness since the very first kit and I have had such a blast with this club, the owner, and all the wonderful people who are a part of it, both on the DT and the subscribers!!  I absolutely love it here!!

         What is your favorite color to scrap with?

I love working with all colors, however, if the shades are too bright them I tend to struggle more. I would say my absolute favorite is all the shades of brown

          Were you named after someone?

My mom says no, but she was a HUGE Barry Manilow fan and that song came out the year before I was born, so I’m thinking Mandy came from that lol.

      Do you have a pet? What kind?

I have 2 dogs, 1 cat, 3 horses, 8 cows, 9 sheep, and 2 rabbits.

now onto the gorgeous details

look at the layers with some cheesecloth tucked in with the gorgeous flowers

from the flower add on

so many fabulous layers!

next up is Mandy 

I love how she treated the photo!

To get the outline effect, she used oil pastels!! 

isn't it a totally cool effect?

and used the heart template from the color add on and the white pen from the kit

 she bent the little stick pin from the embellishment add on

 for the base of the tear.  

and last up we have the newest addition to the Scraps of Darkness Team

Laura Gilhuly

Laura really utilized the white pen, outlining most of her elements and the paper!

she made some beautiful flowers also highlighted with the white pen!

To create the hearts she used the stencil from the color add on, molding paste then she 

'painted' on the mist! Isn't that a neat idea???

added one of the really cool buttons from the kit to her tags!
