Wall Plaque with Prima Flowers with Resin Faces Tutorial and a gorgeous heritage layout!

Good morning!  Today I've got two great things to share with you.  The first is a tutorial Tiffany Solorio did with our July Scraps of Elegance kit, and the second is a beautiful heritage layout Kathy Mosher did with our July Scraps of Darkness kit.

Tiffany used our July Patricia's Memoirs kit,  Floral Add On, and Creativity Add On to create this sweet altered wall plaque.  The Walnut Hollow Monogram Wood Plaque, Ranger Antiquities Embossing Powder, Prima Finnabair Bubbles Clear Stamp, and Prima Babs Flowers with Resin Faces are all in the Creativity Add On. The Prima Esperanza Flowers with leaves are in the Floral Add On, and the BoBunny Juliet paper, Prima Wildflowers Stencil, and Reneabouquets Butterflies are all from the Main Kit.

And here's Tiffany's step-by-step video:

Next up is some vintage goodness from Kathy.  She created this amazing masculine heritage layout with our Tracey's Artful Adventure kit:

This is Kathy's first layout as a Scraps of Darkness Designer (she previously designed with our Scraps of Elegance kits), and she did not disappoint - what a stunning layout!

Kathy says:  "It's a layout of my Dad at age 16, living in Juneau, Alaska, and it was taken just before he joined the US Navy.  When he turned 17 he lied about his age and enlisted.
The kit is filled with the BoBunny "Penny Emporium" collection, which is very steampunkish.  I haven't done that style before so it was a real challenge for me.  The white slats I used for the mat I individually cut out of chipboard, gessoed and then inked to make it look whitewashed.  Talk about work intensive!!!

Here's a photo of the start of the lo where I used light modeling paste mixed with some Lumiere's "Pewter" paint to get a silvering paste to use with the Tim Holtz "Clockwork Layering" stencil.  I splattered some gesso, Prima's Color Blooms "Tea Stain", as well as Heidi Swapp's Color Shine mist "Tinsel".

I used the new Prima Winged Mechanicals from the Elements Add On, as well as die cuts from BoBunny, which were included in the main kit.  The rest of the goodies are from former Scraps of Elegance and Scraps of Darkness kits, except for the cog which is from Dusty Attic.  I was going to leave it naked, but decided to spray it with Prima's Tea Stain and then dabbed with the Heidi Swapp Tinsel.  I really like the effect.

Another close up of a die cut from the kit, as well as some metal sprocket gears made by Tim Holtz which I got from a previous kit.

That's it for me today.  I'll be sharing more layouts throughout the month, and I hope you will stop by to visit me.  Hope you have a wonderful week!"

That's all for today - thank you for visiting us, and I hope you were inspired by today's projects!
