Sugar & Spice.....

Good morning!
It is a beautiful sunny day here!
I hope you are all enjoying your summer!

Do you remember the old poem
'Sugar and spice
and everything nice
that's what little girls
are made of....'

Today I am sharing a little sugar and spice with you from our wonderful designers!

First up is a gorgeous creation from Wilma using the Scraps Of Darkness

She started with the Amy Tangerine background paper.   On the right side (with the pink and black ) should be cut off, on the other side the brand name shows, but she loved the design, so she used it too!
Her first layer is made with black modeling paste.  Then she
diluted the Shimmerz paint from the kit and it worked like a watercolor. She also did the same thing with orange paint.
Colored a few Prima flowers from the kit with the same colors, then outlined the drips with a black thin pen.

She took the Prills and gel medium from the Creativity Add On, mixed it up with paint and made the flowers with a Donna Downey stencil. (I LOVE that technique - so very cool)

Doodled flowers and wood are cut outs from a paper.

Next up is Stéphanie, who used the Stéphanie's Treasure kit from Scraps Of Elegance
to create this amazing layout.

Here she worked around the light yellow/ocher and light purple.  She has not had the chance to work with the Shimmerz paints before she was delighted to find in them in the kit!  The Shimmerz paints have a very nice result, and we find this shiny pearly appearance. The light purple Vibez mist is particularly very sparkly, very pearly and well covering.

She also used these mini Prills that she discovered in the kit and she thinks they are absolutely great! She thinks the color is beautiful, and could not resist...she stuck it  everywhere, and inked and painted over it.

And as complementary colors, she used green and blue that is found with flowers and inks.
The whole layout has been worked  with Lindy Stamp Gang's inks and  Shimmerz paints.

I am going to share my layout next....
Our beautiful granddaughters live very far away from usbut their mom is very sweet and makes sure she shares as many photos as she can so wecan see them grow!

I so love the look on Gina's face in this one.She is so sweet!
And the Scraps Of Darkness 'Sindi's Summer Day' kit was perfect for this photo!

I did a lot of tearing and inking - and it was fun to do a more feminine layout.

The flowers from the Floral add on, the kit and some from my stash and along with a misted doily made a wonderful cluster!
I used the stencil from the Elements add on with some modeling paste and then sprinkled some embossing powder from a previous kit then heat set it to add some shine and texture.

I added a little gesso & ink to the chipboard elements from the Elements add on

The chipboard title says it all - she is beautiful!

And finally is a beautiful layout from Lynne using the Scraps of Elegance 'Stéphanie's Treasure' kit.

Lynne created many beautiful layers with paper, stitching, die cuts, modeling paste, lace and ribbon to create this soft and sweet layout of her daughter.

Those gorgeous Velvet Pansies are by Petaloo, and are in the Floral Add On

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a fabulous day!
