Hello, hello!
It's time to share DT project #4 created with my January Be Mine Kit from Scraps of Elegance.
Since I have already done 3 layouts, I decided to go with a canvas board which was included in the add-on Creativity Kit.
My photo is another "wind shot" from our NYC girl's trip in December. I loved this display of shoes and handbags in black, red, gold and rhinestones. My finished canvas will be perfect for setting on my display shelf to keep those fun memories alive. I've used the Main Kit, Creativity Kit, Flower add-on, the Elements Add-on and the Color add-on.
I had fun preparing my background with mists and stamps from my stash along with a stencil and the CM Iridescent Creative Medium from the Creativity Kit. From that same Kit, I've use the Prills for texture and sacrificed a Love mask to use as my title. It was painted with the Art Alchemy paint in the Color add-on.
I created layers with a few of the papers from the Main Kit (Blue Fern Studios Heartland Sweet on You, Red Rose Ball, Love Notes and XOXO) along with a simple white paper doily. I fussy cut the large floral heart from the Sweet on You paper and used it to add paper florals to my page. Of course, I added lots of flowers from the Main Kit and from the Floral Add-on. Here you can see those Prills and also the Kaisecraft rhinestones from the Elements add-on. I also loved included the metal X and O paper clips from the Elements add-on.
You can see that I strategically cut the "hem" from the BFS Heartland Red Rose Ball paper to add as a focal layer under my photo. I enhanced it with lace from the Main Kit and other elements as already noted. I've also added kaisercraft ephemera from the Elements add-on.
I used one of the white paper hearts in the Main Kit. I stamped it in black but it looks gray here. I tucked in under the black "happy" heart.
More of the printed heart and some of the embellishments added to the upper right, including another one of the red rhinestone hearts and more gold clips.
Note the texture paste here which created texture but also worked as a reverse resist and pulled colors from the background.
More fussy cutting for the bottom of the canvas … which I kept fairly simple.
Some splattered paint and gold mist rounded off my canvas.
Fun close-ups!
Truly love those Prills from the Creativity Kit.
So, that's all from the Janaury Scraps of Elegance Kit. The Main Kit is sold out but there are still some add-ons available when I checked last. Please visit The SOD/SOE Store to see what is still available!
You can also see everything that is in the already introduced February Kit!
Although I still have tons left from my January Kit, it's time to move on to the next Kit!
Thanks for coming by!
