Good morning...
Great photos are the centerpiece of wonderful layouts!
Kathy captured her grandson's sweet expression in this awesome photo and created an amazing layout to showcase it, using our Scraps Of Darkness January Botanique kit.
She started with the flip side of one of the Simple Stories papers
that was included in the Coordinating Paper Add-On, it's very white with little
grey dots. She sprayed it with lots of different mists from
Lindy's in different shades of teal and silver then stamped around the
page with various stamps to create a linear focus. She also used some
herringbone washi tape in various places and splattered some
orange and black inks then repeated the same process to create a border around
the page.
She ripped one of the Graphic 45 "Plant Kingdom" papers (black) along one side
and placed in the middle of the page. She created a photo mat using one
of the sentiment tags printed on the "Beautiful World" Graphic 45 papers. She
layered another sentiment tag on the right side of the layout with 2 other
papers from the collection.
She fussy cut a large and medium size clock from a Kaisercraft paper from her stash and she created one flower cluster
in the center of the page using flowers from her stash. She also used a brad and a little twine bow. She
made two tags and used a G45 chipboard piece (mushroom) from the
Elements Add On for one of the tags, and a Graphic 45 die cut from the Main Kit
(butterfly). On the right side next to the cluster, she used another G45
chipboard from the (Elements Add On) and put the word "NOT" on it to go
with the "Happy" script chipboard underneath. "Happy" came in a
previous SOD kit.
Beneath the collage is the large clock where she adhered a large butterfly which she fussy cut from the Graphic 45 "Monarch Majesty" paper. There are so many gorgeous butterflies printed on that paper, just perfect for fussy cutting!
