Mixed Media Monday

It is early here - a little after 6 in the morning... too early for me!

I am NOT a morning person!

But our youngest son was going with my hubby for a week in the truck and when he is going I try and get up to see him off....the alarm went off at 4:30 and hubby hit snooze - twice! lol!

I don't know how you morning people get up all bright eyed and bushy tailed and get things done this early!  I know I will be having a nap sometime today!

So it is Monday which means it is Mixed Media Monday!

First up I can share this stunning mini by Lisa using the

Scraps Of Darkness 'Kathy's Nature Walk' kit

Lisa loves to create awesome little mini's, and she is so very talented at it!

She used the BoBunny Heritage Collection Census paper as her background on one side of the tag. She like consistency with mini albums so one side of all the pages are treated with this paper. All of the pages are embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.

The front cover is embellished with a gorgeous Vintaj metal dragonfly included in the Creativity Add On for the kit. The Creativity Add On is sold out, but we have more of these dragonflies available in Trinket Packs.

She used Viva Decor Rusty Patina and Ranger's Vintaj Verdigris Patina to color the metal dragonfly. These were also included in the kit along with a Vintaj Metal Reliefing Block to sand off bits of the paint for a worn look.  

 She used some Prima Laser Cut Wood Leaves and Flowers which were in a past Scraps of Darkness kit. She embellished them with a combo of Ranger Vintaj Patina, Viva Decor Rusty Patina and embossed with Stampendous Encrusted Jewels in Purple. The Stampendous Embossing Powders were in last months SOD kit, and are currently available in the store.

The opposing side of each page was covered in Kaisercraft Botanica Stem Paper, also embossed with the same Cuttlebug Folder.

She used a Spellbinders die for the Kaisercraft "Seed" papers to mount a photo on.  She also die cut an envelope with a Tim Holtz die and embellished it.  She has two envelopes in the album to tuck goodies into. 

She added a little Pink Paislee tag found in a past SOD/SOE kit and used the Darcie's Owl stamp in our Elements Add On. 

 She used a variety of the Kaisercraft Botanica collection for more die cuts on the opposing pages highlighted with more of the Prima wood embellishments.

 

She also used Midnight Rendevous Raven, Violacous Violet and Gecko Green mists from Lindys on this as splatters. 

Lisa gets all her mists through theC olor Add Ons from Scraps of Darkness and Elegance kit clubs.

 Flowers you see come with the Floral Add On for this month. She used Prima Coy Adelle and Petaloos Botanica Collection.  The others are mixed from her stash all gained from her kits.

  She added smaller tags in between with quotes from the Kaisercraft papers.

The back cover is a journal spot to add thoughts...

For this gorgeous mixed media project, she choose the  papers and embellishments from the Prima 'Garden Fable' collection that were in the kit, and was inspired by August's Prima BAP.
