Good Wednesday!
I hope that you are all well!
Today I am excited to show you the first projects from the awesome new kits!
Lisa has created an outstanding layout using the
Scraps Of Darkness 'Laura's Wish' kit (<--- thats me - this is the kit named after me!!!)
She created a
very grungy mixed media page with lots of detailing. She used Lindys Mists
in several colors to achieve the splashed look in the background.
Lots of layers with stamps and elements from the kit tucked in.
She has flowers and die cuts from Kaisercraft tucked beneath the photo.
Lots of grungy stamps and paint. She also dissected one of Renea's butterflies.
Next up is a romantic shabby chic layout by Renea using the
Scraps Of Elegance 'Lynne's Garden Terrace' Kit.
Renea was inspired by this month's inspiration board!
She distressed and inked the edges on all the papers which were quite a few different layers from the kit papers.
She did
machine sewing on her photo and on the paper layer underneath. There is
also 2 layers of torn and inked book pages, and some lace layered underneath as well.
The Rose Quartz Glitter Glass Butterflies were hand crafted by her, just for this kit!
She cut some pieces from the papers and added some of the sweet lace from the kit to the edging and added that on to her layout.
She ran the
pearls from the kit up the side of the photo layers and around the
title she created with with one of the kit pieces, a metal piece from the
kit, and a flower from this month's Floral Add On.
She then added some cheese cloth, flowers and leaves from the kit and this months Floral Add On.
She added more cheesecloth at the top corner and layered on more Floral Add On Flowers.
She then tore out some sections of her layout to reveal that gorgeous paper underneath and heavily inked the edges.
Here you can see all the dimension and layering.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
UNBELIEVABLE is right... WOW. These are INCREDIBLY Gorgeous. STUNNING. Have to go back for a third look now... just sooooo beautiful. j.
ReplyDeleteThese are both so beautiful. I've torn the edges of papers- never thought of tearing out deeper sections. I have to say, I'm pretty excited to work with this kit. I'm hoping I'll get the house clean enough during the week that I can just work on my art this weekend! Thanks for the inspiration!!
