Two amazing mixed media grunge layouts from Kerstin!

Welcome!
In the Main Kit you can find the Chesterville collection from Blue Fern Studio.  I think this backgrounds are perfect for a masculine mixed media project. The denim blue star tags and buttons from the Element Add On kit were so very suitable for an old vintage photo with a little car mechanics. Boys and automobiles  - a great passion.

I added with white and black gesso and stencils
some stars and a big black stain in the lower right corner.

some details

packaging material from the denim blue metal buttons
looks like original denim or? and so I used this also as a layer behind the photo

a little bit embossing powder only in some places and
some highlights with golden metallic wax
and the chipboards have an altered look

the wonderful denim star tag together with some
fabric leftovers and a little car embellishment under the button

I have split the arrow chipboard in two pieces
now it looks like a number One

You are braver than you believe,
the right saying for this little sweet boy
on his way to discover the world for himself.
I was inspired from this journaling cards from Bo Bunny,
which were in the March Main Kit
'Boys will be Boys'

I used a background paper from the Chesterville Collection (Blue Fern Studios), wow, a great mixed media mix on this paper with burlap, film stripes, stains, corrugated cardboard, gorgeous,
I love this collection!
You can use so many various materials suitable to this background.

I have choosen some gears from the January Main Kit,
a flower from the March Elements Kit On
which I have divided into several parts, the Splatter Arrows
colored with a little bit embossing powder and black acrylic paint,
the black sequins, the 'Collage des Ronds'  stamp here and there
and some clear stickers from Bo Bunny stars, safety pin, signs and more

some blue highlights made with Tim Holtz Salty Distress ocean crayon

Many thanks for your visit!
Have a nice day!
Kerstin
