Today I have a few awesome projects to share with you. All of them were created with our September Scraps of Elegance kit: 'Lisa's Sweet September'.
First is a stunning canvas from Lisa Griffith....
I just adore the color palette and the background work is amazing!
next up is this amazing interactive mini album from Lisa N!
The front and back cover of her mini album are from a mini album we
received in a former kit. and she of used only the two
pieces of the hardboards to create the covers.
Melinda is selling these gorgeous stencils by Rebecca Baer in the SOD/SOE store.... Lisa used the one
called "Moroccan Tile and Vine."
We have a wide selection of these
gorgeous stencils. They are very unique and so beautiful to work with.
Take a look at them all ------ here
Lisa used the stencil on the front cover with two different distress inks and blue and brown tone.
She used the beautiful chipboard from Graphic 45 Gilded Lily
Collection and the Ornate Metal Keyholes. The
Papermania "Oyster Blush Lace paper doily is from a past kit and has a gorgeous
golden sheen to it. She layered on the kit and past kit flowers.
She used some Viva Rusty Patina, Inka Gold and Smooch in Pool on the
keyhole to give it a worn look. The whole album was splattered with
Lumiere in Bright Gold and she used Blue Fern Studios Autumn Anthology Le
Ballon paper on the cover.
To add some fun elements and interest, and to create something a little different from her other albums she created all her own pages and she varied sizes!
She used the "Balcony" papers from the Blue Fern collection on the inside cover.
Peeking into the book this is the first page you would flip to. She die
cut the postage stamp in chipboard then covered it in the Blue Fern
Autumn Anthology "Cottage."
Lisa is really inspired by Steph Miller from Prima. She has a tutorial on a page like this with a little pocket and flip
out page. Lisa used the
Graphic 45 Gilded Lily- both the paper and the chipboard pieces. The
chipboard pieces are included in the Elements Add On. You can find them
------HERE
You can see here how the cute little pocket folds outs.
This page was created with acrylic. She cut a piece of Clear Scraps
Acrylic and ran it through the Cuttlebug with an embossing folder to
achieve the textured effect. After she used several
alcohol inks with blending solution to color the acrylic.
She used a Prima Resin Frame colored with Rusty Patina, Lumiere and Smooch. She
used the same on the Keyhole.
This is the backside of the acrylic. She used more Graphic 45 Gilded Lily
and created a pocket to tuck tags into. This is embellished with the
little envelopes and chipboard pieces that are part of the Gilded Lily
collection.
This page was created with a vellum base. This
page was constructed using a technique once again from Steph Miller's
Epiphany album. There are three fold out pages for journaling, photos,
to attach or tuck mementos into.
She used more of the Blue Fern Studios papers for this one - "Parfumerie"
She likes to paint all the
edges of her chipboard with Lumiere in gold. She does this to the mini album
chipboard edges and postage stamp edges because she does not like raw chipboard
look.
She kept the back cover pretty simple because if you are laying the
album down you don't really want a ton of embellishment because it will
get worn and crushed. She used more inking with the Rebecca Baer
stencil and splatters of course!
And finally I will share a stunning mixed media layout from Stephanie!
Stephanie started with one of the Blue Fern Papers that she covered with clear gesso. She wanted to create a more 'Bohemian' layout with a soft and light page.
She wanted to try new techniques. She used glaze over her paper to create 'clouds of color' and the new Rebecca Baer Moroccan Tile stencil and Ingvild Bome chalk ink from the kit!
now here are some of her wonderful details!
Thanks for stopping by!
