Good morning! I've got a beautiful project to share with you on this lovely Sunday morning.
Lisa Novogrodski pulled out our September Tanya's Industrial Odyssey kit and sat down to work her magic with it:
Here's what Lisa says about her project, along with some gorgeous close up photos:
This beautiful kit is filled with Marion Smith and Kaisercraft!
Both favorites of mine. :)
I was inspired by a tutorial Steph Miller did you can find it on youtube.
I used her guide for creating the bags! You can tuck things into the top
of the bag and I also created a little pocket at the bottom for more
treasures!
My front and back covers are 4 x 6 chipboard that I coated in
black gesso. This is different than my other tag mini's where I usually
use a tag for the front and back.
I used both the Marion Smith Time Keeper Collection and Kaisercraft Time
Machine Collection for my papers. We also get a gorgeous selection of
cardstock to match in our kits and I've used that as my base on some of
the pages. The florals are found in the kit and Floral Add On - Prima Debutante, Archivist and Sunrise/Sunset. I used the Prima Finnabair Mechanicals from the main kit as well, and painted them with the Ranger Vintaj Patinas found in last months kit. I also embossed them with Lindys - Scotch Broom Yellow and Midnight Bronze from the Color Add On.
We received these super fun stamps called
"Steampunk Selfie" by Brett Weldele.
You can find the CREATIVITY ADD ON ------- HERE
I USED PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING IN IT THIS MONTH!
This is found in the Creativity Add On of the kit. I used Lindys Midnight Bronze embossing powder found in the Color Add On on the image and painted it with the gelatos found in the Creativity. I used the gold for painting the image and then used both the gold and black gelatos to splatter all my pages.
This is one of the bags. I love how the top folds down. I like to use
die cuts on my albums. I'm not a big fan of square pieces. I just can't
keep it simple!
I also like to dry emboss my die cuts to make them more interesting and,
well, pretty! I added in some sentiments that were part of the
Kaisercraft collection. These can be used for journaling or as photo
mats. I leave them without photos because I sell most of my creations in
my etsy shop. :)
I've been on a mission to include things from my stash in my projects.
My stash is vast! This vintage image is something I had on hand and
thought it would lend a nice touch to the album.
More tags alternating with kraft tags found in the main kit, with my stamped images! I love it!
The possibilities for the Brett Weldele stamps are endless. From vintage
to art journaling. I would love to see what you come up with for ideas!
The Prima Timeless Memories chipboard was also in the kit. I used it to frame an image
found in the Time Keeper collection. The random stamping was done with
the Kaisercraft Flutter stamp found in the main kit.
My back cover is chipboard coated in gesso then embellished with Prima
florals and a Dusty Attic Clock. The gold ribbon peeking out was also
in the kit and is May Arts Gold Metallic Crochet Ribbon.
Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed seeing Lisa's project, and I hope the rest of your day is beautiful...
