Tag-erific Tuesday!

Good morning!
I have come to the conclusion that Mother Nature has been drinking too much nectar!
We woke up this morning to snow!
It's March 31st and we have snow!
So I think mother nature is a little tipsy and got April Fools Day and today mixed up!

Well on a much better note I want to share some gorgeous inspiration with you,
both are fabulous tags!

First is a couple of stunning tags from Anna using the
Scraps Of Elegance kit named after her, 'Anna's Daydream'

Stunning!

now here are a couple of the gorgeous details.....

Next up is some inspiration from Renea, using our
Scraps Of Darkness 'Michelle's Mechanical Madness' kit

The pocket album was created from cut down, up-cycled manilla file folders that she sewed together to form a pocket system then layered and distressed

She fussy cut out the Vintage Lady,  as well as the "Life Is Better With Friends" piece  from the kit papers, then added on flowers from this months floral add on and a past kit flower, then hand stamped some leaves and fussy cut those out.

She added one of the metal pieces from the kit to the side and topped it with one of the jeweled pieces from the kit. She then added on a large metal flower piece from the kit, more flowers from the floral add on and her stash, more of the hand stamped leaves and a burlap fray bow, and then created all  the tuck in tags from fussy cut and punched paper pieces from the kit.

Here you can see the finished out back side of her pocket journal.

And here you can see all the matching, double sided, tuck ins, with hand dyed seam binding bows, as well as jeweled pieces, and a Prima Metal Trinket Alpha piece from the kit that were used as accents.

Well Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Marvelous Monday Motivation

Good morning!
Oh it feels good to be back!
I hate being sick and this virus my son & I got wiped us out for 2 weeks!

I am happy to be back and sharing some loveliness with you!

First I am going to share a couple gorgeous layouts created by
Lisa Novogrodski.

The first one she created using the Scraps Of Elegance
'Anna's DayDream' Kit.

She created a collage look by tucking little bits & pieces here and there!

 She loves to "splatter".

She also likes to take her chipboard apart!

She used tissue tape along the edge of the page on the top and bottom, then stamped over it... and splattered.

 Love the tags

Next up I am showing off a gorgeous heritage album from the very talented Karen using the
Scraps Of Darkness kit - Michelle's Mechanical Madness!

It's loaded with tons of areas for photos along with areas for beautiful patterned papers from the kit.

Marci has done some beautiful work with our March "Michelle's Mechanical Madness" kit, and we thought we would share what she's done:

We think Marci has captured the feel of the beach perfectly with this layout - we love all the layers and her work with that Prima stencil:

Marci did say she likes to create ATC's, didn't she?  I am sure whoever receives these 2 will love them:

And does it get any cuter than this?  We love Marci's Zoo layout, so much fun!:

Renea's stunning layout for our March Inspiration Board

Today we have a GORGEOUS layout to share with you.  Renea was having a little fun with both our March SOE kit, Anna's Daydream, AND our March Inspiration Board, which was designed by Anna Rogalska (and yes, the kit is named after Anna, as well!).

Renea says:
This kit is the perfect mix of Shabby meets girlie-grunge and I paired it with the following Mood Board created by the super talented Anna for us to play along with!!

If you would like to join us and play along with our mood board as well as many other fun challenges and contests, please visit us here on Facebook:

I used the March Kit, the mood board and a photo of one of the most inspirational ballerinas of our time, Misty Copeland~an author, entertainer, and American Ballet Dancer for the American Ballet Theatre, one of the three leading classical Ballet companies in the United States.
I started out with layers of the distressed and inked papers that pulls the colors from the frame photo, and the grunginess from the paint brush photo in the mood board,  sewing, punching and and layering them in.

Behind my photo is a layer of punched paper and a layer of lace, that reflects that romantic style of  Jane Austin, the author of the quote in the Mood Board.

The top corner is some paper that I tore out, machine sewed and then added a Tim Holtz Metal Book Frame and one of the quote pieces from the kit  "Never Give Up", and a Prima Fifth Avenue Flower and small Prima flower from this month's floral add on

I used the little hearts from the kit, then cut out larger hearts from the kit paper, inked and distressed them and layered them together, pulling the heart shape from the Mood Board Photo.

At the bottom corner of my photo, I made a floral piece using the Prima Avalon flower from the main kit, another Prima Fifth Avenue Flower, and a past kit flower and stash feathers.

The Peaches & Cream Butterflies are my Reneabouquets butterflies.

I took the little resin feathers from this month's Elements Add On and added hand dyed seam binding and some lace pieces that match the Avalon flower, and then cut one of the tags with quotes on it from the Elements Add On into pieces, distressed and inked the edges and added them on in between the "falling" feathers

Thank you for stopping by today, and I hope you will come play along with our March Inspiration Board Challenge!

Mixed media canvas by Karen

Before I share Karen's gorgeous canvas, I just wanted to let you know that our kit will have a slight delay again this month.  We expect to reveal our April Scraps of Darkness kit on April 2nd.

And on to a little gorgeousness!

Karen was creating with our March "Michelle's Mechanical Madness" kit and add ons for this canvas.

She started with the 5 x 7 Artist's Canvas from the Creativity Add-On, and paper from the Kaisercraft Betsy's Couture Collection from the kit for the background.
She distressed the paper with some Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink.  She then used the Prima 6 x 6 stencil "Lace" from the Elements Add On with some Studio 490 Wendy Vechi Metallic Gold Embossing Paste.  Before it dried, she applied Lindy's Stamp Gang Embossing Powder "Cleopatra's Copper" (from a previous kit) and then dried it.
She stamped the Prima Finnabair "Now Is The Time" stamp from the Creativity Add On onto the canvas and then colored in some areas of the stamp with Faber Castell Pitt Artist Pens Copper, Gold, and Silver (from a previous kit).
For the Blue Fern Studio Cog and Gears chipboard that were in the Elements Add On, she first inked them with some Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Vintage Photo.  She then sprayed them with the Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst "Cajun Carnelian Red" from the Main Kit.  After being sprayed, the piece split into several pieces which she loved, because she was able to take a layer and add it flush to the canvas and wrap it around the edges...perfect!
She also used the Petaloo Botanica Collection flowers from the Floral Add On, and some of the Fabscraps metal filigree pieces and the Prima Say It In Crystals from the Main Kit to finish it off.

Here are a few close-ups of this gorgeous canvas:

That's it for today!  Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you have a beautiful day today!

Sindi's touching heritage layout

Good morning!  Today we have the sweetest heritage layout to share with you:

Sindi has the most refreshing style, and we just love this layout she did, featuring a photo of her great grandparents.  Sindi created this layout with our March "Michelle's Mechanical Madness" kit, and she really shows off the versatility of the kit (just take a look at the beginning of our Design Team Gallery for this kit, and you will see just what I mean).

This is what Sindi says about her layout: "This kit is just perfect for scrapping all those old family photos I've been needing to create with for a long time. My favorite of those photos is of my great grandparents. They were such special people. The photo is blurry and old (taken when I was a little girl), but it shows the sweetest scene.  Aren't they just the cutest?"

She used the patterned paper by cutting it into strips and then folding it over on itself to create a bit of a loop, and added a chevron to the top. She attached these to rectangles that I had previously painted yellow. She says she ADORES the combination of yellow and navy.

She added a bit more yellow and another accent piece made from the patterned paper and one of the Prima metal pieces from the kit to the bottom.

She also fussy cut the large flower from one of the pieces of the Kaisercraft Betsy's Couture papers and added it on the side of her photo.

What a beautiful way to showcase the special love her great grandparents shared!

Thank you so much for your visit today, and I hope we and Sindi have inspired you to get some of those precious heritage photos out and create something special with them.

A double dose of steampunk goodness!

Good morning, I hope you all had a beautiful weekend!

Today we've got a rare treat for you, if you love steampunk - a double dose of it from Michelle!

Just look at Michelle's attention to detail, she's created some gorgeously grungy gears for this layout, done some fabulous layering, and I do see a bit of Mica Tile (from this month's Elements Add On) making an appearance on this layout.

And that's not all, Michelle's created another fabulously wicked steampunk layout with the March kit "Michelle's Mechanical Madness" (which was, of course, named after Michelle!).  I am thinking these two beauties would look amazing framed and hung next to each other on the wall!

Just look at all the detail on this beautiful lady's hat, more evidence of Michelle's attention to detail.  Michelle added more of her yummy gears on this layout, as well as the Petaloo sugared blooms from the Floral add on, the Prima bling from the main kit, and a little bit of that rich gold lace that was in one of our past kits.  And she looks like she's having alot of fun with those Mica Tiles again!

Gotta love a good steampunk day!  We hope you've enjoyed it, and want to give you a heartfelt thank you for taking time out of your day to pop in and visit us!

A stunningly gorgeous baby layout by Karen!

Good morning, I hope everyone's weekend is off to a good start!

Today we are sharing a simply scrumptious layout by Karen.  She created this one with our March SOD "Michelle's Mechanical Madness" kit:

Karen used a combination of the papers from Prima's Archivist Collection, Kaisercraft's Betsy's Couture Collection, and Melissa Frances' Glamour & Grunge Collection, as well as the Prima Say It In Crystals  and Fabscraps metal filigree from the main kit.
She also used the Crafter's workshop Remnants stencil "Radar" and the Timeless Memories Metal Trinkets & Alphas from Prima that were in the Creativity Add On, and some of the Mica Tiles from the Elements Add On.

Here's a close-up showing her use of the mica tiles and some of the filigree:

And another, with more of the filigree and the Say It In Crystals:

Thanks for stopping by today, and I hope you find the time this weekend to create something wonderful!

Escape - a mixed media canvas by Stéphanie

Hello, and happy Friday!

Today I'm sharing a GORGEOUS canvas with you.  Stéphanie Papin created this with our February "Lisa's Love Letters" kit:

Stéphanie says:  "This month, I decided to work with something different! Here is a home decor canvas that will have a special place in my home!"

She didn't want to work with a photo this time, so she choose  a beautiful picture that would fit in the beautiful  little resin frame, and it served as the main element in her canvas.

She decided to build her canvas around this element. Looking at the picture and the thin dainty branch, I was then drawn to a chipboard piece with delicate and thin branches and berry
like bits and thought that they matched the image in the picture.

To complete  the work on her canvas, she decided to use some geometric elements that would be an extension of the resin frame.

She chose a chipboard grid panel, and thought this was  also  a great element for her canvas, because the right angles reminded her of the right angle from  the frame, and at the same time, the small  bubbles in the grid reminded her of the berries.

She wanted to make a very bright canvas because she feels that the light inspires serenity.
She says: "First of all my mixed media work on this canvas is made with light colors.I decided to paint my chipboard with a white color.  Here I diluted white gesso with some water and I painted my chippies with this texture.Just my  title "Escape"  has been left natural, I needed to have some contrast.  To remind me of the main picture in the centre, I decided to add some big India ink drops."

"
And two more close-ups of Stéphanie's canvas:

Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I hope we have inspired you to create something beautiful this weekend!
