A layout from Renea with our "Pretty Things" kit

Renea is back up on the blog today but this time using the
Scraps Of Elegance kit - Pretty Things
and she used this months Inspiration Board for inspiration

She used the papers from the kit, one for the bottom then a second layer that she cut down and then did some paper curling on to expose the matching paper underneath, some punching to add visual address, and added some burlap string bows and some of the Blue Fern Chipboard from the Embellishment Add On that I sprayed.

She then layered in burlap and more paper layers as well as some of the Bo Bunny pieces that were in the kit, a wooden tag from the Embellishment Add On that I put one of the stickers and Bo Bunny Brads from the EAO onto.

here are a few more of the fabulous details

Renea's Terrific Transition Kit projects

Hey everyone!
I hope you are all having a wonderful day!

Today I get to share some gorgeousness from Renea using the
Scraps Of Darkness 'Transitions' kit

First up.....

I love the distressed edges!

She took some Tim Holtz Texture Paste and a Palette Knife  and created a stucco look similiar to that in the photo, then sprayed the edges with Prima Color Bloom Sultry Shimmer Gilded, allowed it to dry then inked over it heavily with some Tim Holtz Distess Vintage Photo Ink to get that really aged look. She then sprayed some lace with some Antiqued Bronze Distress Spray Stain and tucked it under the edges randomly.

She added a layer of distressed and curled paper, 3 layers of Doilies that were sprayed with some of the Antiqued Bronze Distress Spray Stain,  and then added the photo. She pleated some of the paper added that to the bottom of the photo along with some more of the stained lace, and then began building her flower cluster with flowers from the kit and floral add on, along with some things from her stash and some of the chipboard embossed with Lindy's Embossing powder , and birdcage charm that were all in the kit.

Here are a few more details.....

next is a super fab pocket journal

Fall Mixed Media Canvas by Amy!

Hi everyone!

Today I am sharing a unique and fabulous canvas by the uber talented Amy using the
Scraps Of Darkness kit 'Transitions'

What an awesome imagination Amy has!

She created this fantastic piece using a vintage photo, a 9×13 canvas, the newest Scraps of Darkness kit,  stuff from her stash and her wonderful imagination

The leaves look like her wings

all the fabulous details!

the feathers make up her dress!

and her awesome hat!

Amy used her wonderful imagination to weave a whole tale about the interesting lady in the vintage photo!
Her name is Agnus

Agnes Mary Stone had grown up in a small village in the newly established American Northwest. Her grandparents had arrived from Ireland two decades previous, after suffering religious and financial hardship. Agnes was a sullen girl….and married off with a healthy dowry to a man who cared very little for her, but was involved in the logging industry. She bore 5 children to him, and they lived in a small log home with a thatched roof, deep in the woods. Now that she was a matronly older woman, and their children had grown and left for the city, Agnes was alone very frequently.
One day Agnes was looking through a trunk of things that had belonged to her ancestors. Inside the truck was an old book, bound in leather and the pages were so old, they were falling apart. Agnes then discovered her family had been more than she ever understood.
Alone on the night of Samhain, Agnes decided to make an offering, using a spell within the book. With a fire lit in the yard, blazing hot….Agnes became something else. Something at one with the nature surrounding her. She became something mystical, magical, and powerful. Agnes…was someone no one had ever understood, someone no one had ever imagined was more than meets the eye. But now….Agnes was someone who would forever be remembered.
As the witch of Seneca forest.
