Mixed Media Monday - 8/15/16

Mixed Media Monday post! 

I love the color purple - whether it be as an accent or the main color...

Wilma made this stunning blue and purple layout using our July Scraps Of Darkness 'An Ocean Tale' kit.

 I LOVE this color combo!

The flourishes are made with the stencil from the kit and stuff to fill  holes in the wall (spackle).

She used the pretty Prima flowers from the main kit, and also made a few herself with the same stamp that she used in the background.

She cut some leaf shapes from one of the beautiful kaisercaft papers.  On her paintings she loves to use wax that drops down from her candles because it always has funny shapes and gives great texture.

She took two small pieces from the wax to add it on this layout.

The next layout I will share came from Lisa Griffith, using our July Scraps Of Elegance 'Sunshine & Sweet Tea' kit.

I love how she treated the photo and added a hint of purple to it to match the tone of the layout!

She started with the Blue Fern Studios paper 'West Plaza' as her base and then added some pieces that she fussy-cut from the BoBunny paper 'Butterfly Kisses'.
