Shabbylicious!

Good morning everyone!
Yesterday was a big day in our family.  Our youngest graduated grade 8.
He looked so handsome and we are so very proud of him!

I love shabby chic and the ladies on the DT are amazing at it.

Case in point...

Renea created this amazing layout using the Scraps Of Elegance
Stéphanie's Treasures kit.

She started with the wood grain paper from the kit.

She then created some layers underneath the photo by taking more of the kit paper, tearing some corrugated board, then sprinkled the texture paste with some Chunky Glitter Glass.  She then curled the paper randomly around the chipboard for added dimension, and added the photo.

Next she did random curling around the edges, and then layered in some more of gesso, texture paint and Glitter Glass edged corrugated board behind them.
She then dripped some of the Gesso onto the layout and sprinkled it with more of the Glitter Glass.

She created floral sections by adding on the paper doilies from the kit, cheesecloth from her stash, and flowers from this month's floral add on. She dabbed over the large flower with some of the Gesso to soften the color, and then sprayed it with spray adhesive and sprinkled on some Chunky Glitter Glass to add some sparkle and texture.

She then used the Stamp from the Elements Add On, and stamped the corner. She added some silver wire to "hang" two of the little light bulbs from the Elements Add On and then took the ribbon from the kit, tied little bows and topped them with some little hand painted mulberry flowers.

She pleated and tucked in some lace at the torn top and bottom corners of the corrugated board. Added another little light bulb and then inked over a Prima Resin Ballerina.

Now to show you another gorgeous shabby chic layout
This one by Mallika using the same kit!

The background work on her layout is amazing!
I love all the colors and textures.

Here are a few of the yummy details

I love how she used the flowers, doily, key and cheese cloth in the cluster

Thanks so much for stopping by!
