Good Friday morning!
The weekend is here!
Do you have any fun pans this weekend?
Today I am sharing a couple of sensational projects from Sindi
using the Scraps Of Darkness 'Karens Valentine' kit
'Walkin' in Memphis'
She used strips of the patterned paper from the kit to create this funky,
geometric background on her page. She cut them to the length she wanted and
wrapped the end of one strip around another to give some dimension to
the shapes. She topped it off with some buttons and splotches of india ink
Her next fabulous and fun project.....
'Um No'
She loved the paper in this kit! She said it is so very versatile. She created the squares in the
background by painting over strips of drywall tape (which she secretly
stole from the hubby's stash). She peeled the tape off before the paint
had a chance to dry and it created this cool, pixel-ish effect.
I am glad to see that I am not the only one that decided to have fun with all the snow!
'My Joy'
She used some of the patterned papers to cut into cloud shapes. she also cut
the gold bunting apart to make smaller banner pieces to hang under the
clouds. She also used some india ink to add dimension under the clouds and
along the edges of some of the crumples paper. She layered a ton of
embellies behind her photo to create even more dimension.
and her final project....
I must admit I love the title!
'And all the colors I am inside have not been invented yet'
She had some paper strips left over from my "Walkin' in Memphis" layout,
so she used them here. They are popped up on foam tape and have great
dimension. She found this Shel Silverstein quote "And all the colors that
are inside me have not been invented yet" and wanted to use it on a
layout.
She cropped her photos to fit under the 'O's' - very clever
Thanks so much for stopping by!
