I hate sounding like a broken record but every month I tell you
how absolutely amazing the design Team is and how every month they create such
beautiful works of art and this month is no exception!
I want to show you Reneas outstanding projects
First up is an altered book...Oh my
She started with a paper mache book box that she stained using walnut stain,
and then layered up the front with distressed and inked papers, as well
as some fussy cut pieces all from this month's kit papers and paper add
on. I added in lots of texture with cheesecloth from the kit, pieces
from the Embellishment add on, burlap, seashells, seed beads, and sand
paste from my stash.
Here you can see the modeling paste technique that she used to replicate
"pages" and all the staining and inking she did to give the look of an
aged book.
The "binding" is covered in inked, Tim Holtz Tissue Tape.
The back has layers of inked and distressed papers.
And the inside was walnut ink stained and then misted to match the outside colors.
Her next project is a gorgeous mini!
She covered a chipboard album with distressed canvas and then layered in
distressed and sand paste painted Prima paper from the kit.
She then layered in a Tim Holtz Clock that she die cut and distress painted,
and then broke pieces of balsa wood to create a wood background and
layered on the stash sentiment. The cheesecloth, Reneabouquets
Butterflies, and sail boat were from the kit, the capiz shells and trim
were from the Embellishment Add On, and the teal flowers were from the
Floral Add On.
Here you can see all the trims, textures and dimension of her album.
Here are the inside pages
