Meet our new design team members!

Our call ended on October 31, and I want to give a big thank you to everyone that applied!
We received so many wonderful submissions, and it was very hard to narrow them down to just a few...

And on to the good news!

Our very own Drycha will be transitioning from Designer to Educator.  Congratulations, Drycha! I know you'll inspire us all with your fabulous techniques!

And with this move, we thought we'd bring in another talented lady to join the team, as a Designer, please meet:

Kristie Taylor
United States

Hi, I am Kristie (AKA Scrapperscrub in the virtual world.)
I am so very excited and honored to be a part of the amazingly talented team! I have been scrapbooking for a very long time, and it has become my therapy and release from my stressful life. I love to get dirty, and am always including inks, paints, and lots of distressing to my projects. I call my style "Shabby distressed bling", so be prepared for anything!  I am surrounded by a loving and supportive family; Mom, Dad, brother, hubby, and four kids who indulge me and my scrappy hobby. I follow everyone around and try to snap photos all the time just like the paparazzi, sometimes I have to resort to bribery. I am so excited to get started and inspired by this awesome team and I hope that I can also inspire you with my creations.

And in addition to Drycha, we have 2 new Educators joining us!
 Sara Onneby
Sweden
My name is Sara Önneby aka PyssligaSara. I live in Stockholm, Sweden, and I'm 33 years old, I've got a Master of Science in Material Engineering. I've worked with pacemakers and their production, but currently I work with 3D printing with stainless steel. I'm from the middle part of Sweden, and I moved south when I started at the university - but I still love to go on vacations up north, just to breath... and go skiing.
My cousin showed me this amazing world of scrapbooking in December 2007. And I was hooked right away. I have been sort of scrapbooking (on and off) my whole life - glued photos to albums, attaching small memories next to them. I love that this hobby allow me to try different styles, both with lots of paints and mists or "clean and simple". In February 2012 I discovered mixed media, and I fell in love again. Getting my hands messy is like breathing for me. :)
I'm sooo excited to be part of the Scrap of Darkness Design Team!!! As an Educator, I hope I can teach you, inspire you and dare you to get messy! :)

Vivian Keh
United States

Howdy, folks!  My name is Vivian, aka contadinak.  Early in 2012, I married the most amazing man and we have been able to spend this last blissful year living in Las Vegas!  As "locals," we've had an incredible opportunity to enjoy the great diversity of cultures to be found primarily off the strip and to sample a variety of delicious foods.  Needless to say, our waistlines have suffered somewhat from the gustatorial indulgences :-/.  Shortly we will be moving to San Jose, CA, to set up shop for the long-term.   Since retiring from an extensive teaching career in Los Angeles, I have been blessed to be able to work exclusively on my art and craft.  In between inky sessions, I enjoy writing, working in my garden, slobbering all over my dogs, hangin' with my guy, and savoring any and all experiences that keep me present.  In the papercrafting department, I'm comfortable working in a number of styles.  But when working for my own pleasure, these days I tend toward the spontaneous delights of mixed media and grunge as well as the comforts of vintage and shabby.  I get most excited when I'm able to incorporate natural, organic elements in my projects, as well as a variety of textures.  Lastly, I want to share with you that I am THRILLED to be an Educator with Scraps of Darkness, to have this opportunity to get to know you in the coming months, to share inspirations, tips, and techniques with you along the way, and to grow our craft together.

Please stop by their blogs to see their fantastic work, and to congratulate them!
