Vintage style tags by Lisa

Did you know we are more than just kits?  We have a store full of scrapbooking and mixed media goodness, as well, and today we're showcasing two beautiful tags Lisa created with some of that goodness from our store.

She started out using the Trimcraft Santoro Willow paper pad that was included in our January Beloved Kit Creativity Add On (Lisa says she's really loving the Santoro items, they're very artistic and textural designs).  While we don't have the paper pad in the store, it was strictly a kit item, we do have some other Santoro Willow items available in the store, like these stunning Gears decoupage papers:

The focus piece on each of Lisa's tags are Prima's Evita Elsa Butterflies

Lisa says: I always layer a ton, even on small spaces like tags. I've used some metal embellishments from Prima  painted them with Silks Acrylic Glaze in Wisteria and Art Anthology in Bronze. I then embossed them with gorgeous Stampendous Encrusted Jewels In Gold. You can find these embossing powders in the store, they are my favorite!

Beneath the layers of metal and butterflies I added some Prima Magnolia Floral Lace Trim - also found in the store:

Here's an individual photo of the first tag:

I've really been into fringe lately. Book pages and crepe paper and streamers oh my! I created the fringe on both my tags from black crepe streamers.

Mixed in with my beautifully embossed metal leaves, I added some gorgeous Prima Violet Glass Glitter

I brushed on some Dina Wakley Gel Medium and then sprinkled the glitter.

I also used the most gorgeous Blue Fern Studios Chipboard Checker Bits (we have these and a LOT more Blue Fern products in the store).

I painted it in Dina Wakley Black Gesso and then embossed it with the Encrusted Jewels in Gold.

Although you can't see it as well in the photos, I did a ton of stamping with the Cartographer Eye Chart Stamp by Prima.

We hope you've enjoyed seeing and reading about Lisa's gorgeous tags, and we hope she's inspired you to create something beautiful today...
