2 Tutorials w/the Attic Finds Kit: Vintage Journal and Floral Cards

Hello everyone!
Tanya here to share with you my first project with wonderful May Kit.
Stylish design paper from the kit inspired me to create a vintage notebook.  For the cover I've chosen green eco leather and combined it with paper by Authentique. I added some colour to 7 Gypsies Architextures Findings Adhesive Embellishments using Prima Finnabair Art Extravagance Rust Effect Paste and adhered them on the cover.
I also embellished few pages of the notebook using beautiful papers by Authentique and 7 Gypsies.

I enjoyed crafting with May kit a lot. You can create both masculine projects with it and feminine projects as well. My second project turned out very gentle with lots of flowers. Very different from the first one. I picked designer paper that a vintage look to it and made two cards. I embellished them with lots of flowers from the May kit.

Awesome vintage mixed Media layout - May 'Attic Finds' kit

Welcome everyone!

My next project with our awesome
I was inspired to make a new layout in vintage style.
It should remind  me on my dreams in childhood in connection with the saying

''Every possibilitiy begins with the courage to imagine''

As I saw this great background paper 'Stenciled crates' from 7gypsies in our May Kit 'Attic Finds'
I was inspired to make a special effect with this old hand and so I decided let them hold something.

I just cut a part of the hand and put a pencil and a pens on the paper,
the half hand was then glued over it.

I hope you can see it?

Two Beautiful layouts from Nicole

Hello! Nicole here with you today!

I've been busy creating with the new May kit from Scraps of Elegance lately.  This kit is called 'Mix'd Media', but don't let the name fool you. Although it is perfect for mixed media projects, it's meant to satisfy every scrapbooker's needs, be they into the clean cut pages or the messier art.  I think I fall right along the middle. hehe This is my first layout created with this fabulous versatile kit!

The patterned papers included in the kit are all from the Blue Fern
Studios' "Happy Accident' collection.  This line is absolutely
gorgeous.  For at least an hour, I marveled at each paper, not wanting to cut into any of them and wondering where to start.  For this page, I finally opted for a blue and green distresses background and added yellows and pinks in my layers.

The Elements Add-On comes with a Tim Holtz' ephemera pack full of flowery designs and gorgeous butterflies. Oh, the butterflies!! Expect to see more butterflies on my upcoming SOE projects.

The yellow metal flower from the Prima set was perfect in my flower cluster along with other Prima paper flowers.

When I saw the quote 'You were born an original. Don't be a copy.' quote fromthe BFS chipboard set, I knew I wanted to use it with a picture of my nieces. Here they are posing with their cousin on a trip to Toronto city. These girls are so full of life, spunk and personality. They are certainly unique and it shows in this fun photo, thus the title chosen for my page.

Here is another layout created with the Scraps of Elegance May kit called 'Mix'd Media'.

The Blue Fern Studios Happy Accident collection papers are so gorgeous that I have had a hard time choosing which one to cut into for every layout created with this kit.  For this page, you can see that I chose a pale pink background layered with some blue and just a touch of yellowy beige. The Elements Add-On kit comes with a pack of arrow words chipboard also from Blue Fern Studios and so I used this one to create my title.

Like with all Scraps of Elegance kits, there are tons of gorgeous flowers in the Main kit and the Floral Add-On. I opted for several pink blooms for this page.  I slipped some flower
die cuts from the Tim Holtz Ephemera pack behind my flower clusters and added a Cuts2luv flair button from my own stash.

Below you see one of many Tim Holtz Ephemera butterflies die cuts from the Elements Add-On.  Simply beautiful!

And of course, the star of my layout, my beautiful niece.
The photo dates back a few years, but it's still a favorite of mine.
I have scrapbooked it at least twice in the past, and will probably
scrapbook it again in the future.  It just makes my heart melt!

And that's it for me today! I will be back later with some more!

Two amazing mixed media layouts from Annie!

Hello everyone !!!! I am presenting today my 3rd layout for May Scraps of Elegance Mix'd Media kit :)

Here is my Beach Style layout ! I used a few things from my stash for this one, mostly the cheesecloth and sea shells. I used the stencil
  • Kaisercraft Mini Designer Templage (3.5" x 5.75"): Foliage
  • The Deco Art Sand Paste
  • The Tim Holtz Ephemera
  • the Blue Fern Chipboards
  • Prima Flowers

I am presenting today another layout with gorgeous May kit at Scraps of Elegance :Mix'd Media Kit
I was first inspired by the Circles on the Fate paper.

I started to use round stamps from my stash and embossed with White Powder.  Then I used some aquarelles inside the circles and all over the paper.   I added the 7 Gypsies Architectures Short Base Doilies to make more Circles. I also used lots of Ephemeras from the Idea-Ology Botanical from Tim Holtz, Chipboards and Arrow Words from  Bleu Fern Studios and Prima flowers from the kit.
