Boo - tiful Halloween layout - October SOD kit

Hi everyone.  Sharon here sharing my first layout made with the awesome October Scraps of Darkness kit!  I absolutely love all of the wonderful paper and goodies contained in this kit.

I used paper from the Pink Paislee Spellcast collection as my background:

I decided to use a photo that was taken at a Halloween Party that I attended with my family and friends this year.  My friend's home was decorated to the nines - the spider in the photo is just a small part of the cool and spooky decor she had.  

In keeping with that theme, I used some of the fun items contained in the Fancy Pants ephemera pack:

And I enjoyed adding paint splatters using orange paint from the mixed media add-on:

I had a blast using the black and white flowers and black feathers that were a part of the main kit;  

and the beautiful black lace from the elements add-on:

  

Making this page was so much fun!!!

It was a quick and easy layout.  I find that you don't have to spend hours creating a scrapbook page when you have all of the right ingredients at your fingertips!

Two Tutorials Tuesday

2 new tutorials: a mixed media Anniversary card and a Halloween layout

Good morning, we've got some wonderful weekend inspiration for you today!  We're sharing not one, but two new tutorials from our educators.

The first video we are sharing is by Tracey Sabella, and it's for this gorgeous Anniversary card:

Tracey created this beautiful card with our October Tiffany's Style kit, using the Prima Royal Menagerie papers and flowers in the kit, as well as Blue Fern Studios chipboard from our store. 

She's also created a birthday card with the same techniques, and I'll share photos of that after her tutorial:

Next we have a Halloween layout tutorial by Amy Prior (yes, I know Halloween has passed, but get a jump on the game, and scrap THIS year's Halloween pics now, instead of waiting until next year!).

Amy created this fabulous layout with our Oct. Danse Macabré kit. She used tons of the Graphic 45 Rare Oddities collection items from the kit, as well as the Stampendous Black Glitter Glass and  embossing powder, Lindy's mist, and Petaloo, Prima and Magnolia flowers, all of which were in our kit add ons.
