Spooky Halloween layout - Scraps Of Darkness October kit

Welcome!

Kerstin is back again with a magical fantasy inspired layout.
RIP - Rest in peace
I love fantasy stories  in spooky forests with misty figures and phenomens, where the fog creates eerie optical effects.

I used the awesome background paper 'Spellcast' from Pink Paislee, pieces from Emphera, black feathers and some transparent letters and flowers from Tim Holtz Halloween collection.

I am working with the Scraps of Darkness Halloween kit!

This is our oldest a few years ago - I added a few pieces of Authentique paper from last years kit

For the Blue Fern Chipboard I embossed in black tinsel to add some spookiness!

This is our youngest the same year!
This time I used the Pink Paislee papers!

I love all the fun embellishments from the kit and add ons!
The title is from Tim Holtz!

Halloween Pet Layout - October Scraps Of Darkness

Welcome!
Kerstin here and a new inspiration
- easy and fast -
for the October Scraps of Darkness Halloween Kit.
Our dog loves to play hide-and-seek especially in colorful rustling autumn leaves, it's always a pleasure for the whole family.

Today  you can see how easy it is to create with our month kit's.
The Kit's are so arranged that all the components fit well in color and style.

I used the amazing background paper 'Bewitched four' from Authentique, some emphera pieces, also the striped packaging paper, black cardstock for cutting dies,
black feathers and some little flowers from this kit.

Mixed Media Monday - October SOD kit!

Hey everyone!  Using the October Scraps of Darkness Kits, I created my new layout titled "Adventure".

Here is a preview of the Main Kit, Floral Add-On, and Elements Add-On:

This is such a sweet picture of my nephew, and it went great with the background paper and the leaves from the Floral Add-On.

The Blue Fern Studios Branch and brown Prima Flowers are from the Main Kit.  These were a great touch for the theme!

I used gesso and a lot of different brown mists to create the background for this project.  I also used my Adventure stamp from a previous kit to use as my title.

You can take a peak at the online store here, and for more inspiration, you can visit the Scraps of Darkness blog here.

Take care and have a great day!

Wickedly Cute Halloween layout - October SOD

Welcome!

Kerstin here with a new layout inspiration for our Scrap of Darkness Halloween kit.
Something wicked (or not) this way comes :-)

Halloween can also be a fun, happy and extremely exciting celebration for kids.

I used the background paper 'Spellcast' from Pink Paislee,
a wonderful colored paper and absolutely suitable for a Halloween layout.

Have you seen this awesome spiderweb in our Main kit?! ,
wonderful and perfect as layer behind a photo.

I also worked with some cutouts from Paper House Productions - Halloween - Wicked Good Tags
some cutting dies, I love this additions, they are great for layouts too. Here can you see some Halloween cutting dies from Sizzix (Witchcraft thinlits, Feather & Ravens).

 ..if the broom fits :-)

Thanks for your visit!

Halloween Party Layout - October SOD kit!

Hi fellow scrappers!

It's Sharon here today to show you the 4th layout that I made with the wickedly gorgeous
Scraps of Darkness October, 2017, kit!

The main kit is chock full of so many spooktacular elements!!!

And so are all of the add-on kits:

Elements add-on:

Floral add-on:

Mixed Media add-on:

I have wanted to scrap a photo that I found in my stash that was taken in 2002 at Walt Disney World. It was a special trip because we had the chance to go with my entire family! The photo is of my twin sister (I know . . . she looks exactly like me!) and my daughter, Katie and niece, Gabi.  They dressed up as Lilo and Stitch for the Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!

Here is my completed page:

And here are some close-ups to show you more details:

This layout was a joy to make!  I think my favorite part of the kit is the feathers!!!  (Scrapping is so easy when you have all of the right elements at your finger tips, like those included in this kit.)

I hope you take a moment to check out the Scraps of Darkness and Scraps of Elegance store and Facebook page.

Thank you, Scraps of Darkness, for making this amazing Halloween-themed kit.

Happy Scrapping everyone!
