I have a couple more shabby and wonderful layouts to share today!

First up is this outstanding creation from Mallika

using the Scraps Of Elegance kit named for her!

The next beautiful one I want to show is from Renea also using our Mallika's Whimsy Kit 

This layout is so adorable and I LOVE that little kite!

Renea started with her beautiful layers...

then began sewing, curling and distressing more layers from different papers

She added some stenciling using a stencil from a previous kit

Using the Tim Holtz frosted film from another kit, a stencil, wooden dowels, and some Prima crystals also from a previous kit she made this wonderful kite!

She took a piece of the Blue Fern Frolic Chipboard from the kit, inked it with the lime ink, then sponge painted it, cut it into pieces tucking 2 pieces under the layers and adding another piece to the side of her layout.

Elegance August Kit Reveal!

Yes, it's here!

In case you missed it on the photo (and I could see how you could, when there's all that amazing Prima and Blue Fern Studios goodness there too!), the kit is named Mallika's Whimsy, and is named after one of our wonderful desigers, Mallika Kejriwal.  You can pick it up in our store, if you like, as we still have a few left.

While you're there, don't forget to check out the add ons, which I'll share here, too:

The Patterned Paper Add On is an extra set of the same papers that are in the kit, because if you are like me, it's always too hard to choose which side of the paper you want to use, so this gives you a full second set so you can use both!

And again, if you are like me, there's no such thing as too much paper, so we have the Coordinating Paper Add On.  This is a set of 10 papers (5 different papers, two sheets of each) that are NOT in the main kit, but that will coordinate beautifully with the papers and elements in the main kit:

The Elements Add On includes additional embellishing options, because after all, you can't have too many embellishments, either...

Did somebody say more flowers?  We've got those, too, in our Floral Add On:

especially vintage images!

I thought today I would share a few of our talented design team's projects using vintage images!

First up is the uber talented Anna

with an outstanding layout she created with our Patricia's Memoirs kit.

For this project Anna chose to work with the Bo Bunny Papers from the kit

She started with the paper 'Verona' and then layered some pieces of the paper 'Full House' under the photo together with some vintage book pages.

Off the page projects that will inspire!

Good Friday morning everyone!

My family and I went away for a few days to Canada's Wonderland!

We had a wonderful time but it is good to be home and I have so many wonderful projects 

to share!

Today I am focusing on a few off the page projects that are really outstanding!

First up is a stunning project from Renea using the Scraps Of Elegance 'Patricia's Memoirs kit'

She used the kit and chipboard screens set to put together a Miniature Victorian Room Divider. 

She added texture by painting the screens with Prima White Crackle Texture Paste, and then inked over it with Tim Holtz Tea Dye Ink

 

To hold the screens together she punched holes and added hand dyed seam binding and bows topped with roses.

For the left side, she distressed some of the kit paper, then cut out one of the Vintage lady images from the paper and added a Prima Shabby Chic Treasures Victorian Frame. She then added a Prima Flower from this month's Floral Add on, and some past kit mini roses.

For the right side she added more distressed paper, then fussy cut out one of the dresses from the papers and "hung" it on a little clothes hanger, then took one of the rhinestone brads from the Elements Add On to hold the clothes hanger. She added some more of the past kit mini roses. 

Next up is a gorgeous set of mosaics from Mallika using the July Patricia's Memoirs Scraps Of Elegance kit

She used mini Canvases to make these gorgeous mosaics

Shabby Shabby Shabby

Good Thursday morning!

I am so looking forward to the weekend.  

Jon had some time off work so we are headed up to Canada's Wonderland - a huge amusement park - this weekend with the boys.  Our boys love rides so its something we do every year!

I'm not as adventurous as the boys but I love to watch them have fun and of course take photos!

Today I want to share a couple of projects that are so shabby chic!

First up is Renea, who has created an elegant and beautiful layout

using the July 'Patricia's Memoirs' kit from Scraps Of Elegance.

She started with a layer of the Debutante Prima paper from the kit, then punched and sewed the next layer.

To get the texture you see in the background, she used the Prima Wildflowers stencil from the kit and painted over it with Prima White Crackle Texture Paste letting it air dry for maximum crackle, then she inked over it softly with some Tim Holtz Distress Ink  In Tea Dye. 

  She added a matte behind the photo by distressing and sewing some of the kit paper. She painted around the image with some  Tim Holtz Distress Rock Candy Crackle, let it air dry then inked it really heavily with the Tea Dye Ink.

She fussy cut a wide pattern from the kit papers, and water distressed it so it looks like material, and layered some pink lace and a rose die cut that was in the kit underneath.

She painted the Blue Fern Chipboard Feather from this month's Elements Add On white, then layered on tulle and heated it up so that it melted into the paint and gave some gorgeous texture.  Then she layered in the feathers from the kit for softness, adding some stash bling to the large one.

I did not get to previously feature another gorgeous shabby chic project from Renea using the June Scraps Of Elegance Stéphanie's Treasure kit!

She created a pocket folder from the kit papers.

Now I want to share a stunning creation from Mallika also using the 

July Scraps Of Elegance Patricia's Memoirs kit.

I love the vintage image she used!
