Good morning
As memory keepers we usually scrapbook photos and memories of our families.....not very often of ourselves.....I believe it is important that our kids and future generation see a bit of us and learn about us...
Check out Kathy's layout using the Blush kit....
The photo was taken at the Radio Station (Armed Forces Radio) in Rota,
Spain in 1968. She was 15 and a DJ. It was the most wonderful time of her
life!!! She was so full hope of dreams. She did realize quite a few of
them, she was a dj in a major market (Philadelphia), she was on TV as a news
broadcaster, and she met some incredible people.
She started creating the layout using 2 papers from the Prima "Rossibelle"
collection. She ripped the polka dot one down two sides to create an
angle across the page. She splattered some white ink around the page. She
fussy cut the border on the left side of the page from another
Rossibelle paper in the Main kit. She added some little Prima flowers
from the Floral Add-On behind the edge, and added some little seed beads
from her stash.
She cut out a frame using a die cut and burnished it a bit
to tone down some of the brightness. She added some pearls.
She used various papers and die cuts (from the Main Kit) for the photo mats. She distressed around all the edges and adhered some copper glitter from a previous kit. She also tucked in bits of lace from her stash.
She used the Blue Fern Studios chipboard which was included in the
Elements Add On then used Liquid Pearls in copper and pink on it. Lots
of fun!
Next she fussy cut out a gorgeous flower design from another Rossibelle paper, and popped it on top of the photo and layers. She used more Liquid Pearls here and there to accent the flowers.
She added flowers (from the Main and Floral Add On)
underneath the fussy cut piece. In the kit was a piece of pink tulle
that she added under the flowers. The little gold flourish was left over from the
die cut frame at the top.
On the left side of the photo she used a little phrase that is a Prima die cut included in the Main Kit.
At the bottom of the layout on the right side she used a Prima die and cut a
gold doily and another little label cut from the Rossibelle paper
and did some journaling.
Thanks for stopping by
