I have some deliciously macabre projects that were created with our October Scraps Of Darkness 'Haunted' kit that are guaranteed to give you a treat!
Tatiana's spooky house will give you shivers up and down your spine!
In the Ukraine they don't celebrate Halloween... but Tatiana created Baba Yaga's home (this lady is Russian variant of witch).
The base was created from thick cardstock, then she glued glitter
Kaisercraft cardstock on it. From glitter cardstock she also cut trees.
Crow, spider and bats were cut using a Silhouette portrait from black
cardstock. Home was cut from the paper included in the main kit from Bo
Bunny's Wonderfully Wicked collection. Web it's chipboard from Elements
Add On, chipboard was covered with two layers of Lindy's powder included
in the Main kit.
The roof was covered with flower soft, and she also created a web using mohair yarn.
Kathy is up next with this wickedly thrilling layout
She used the Bo Bunny paper from the Main kit for the background and fussy cut
the cemetery fence from an Authentique paper included in the
Coordinating Add On. Then, added a black lace transparency that she
bought from the SOD store.
She die cut a couple of doilies from papers in the Coordinating Add On to
tuck behind and in the layers of the photo. She painted a piece of
chipboard from her stash and used a script stamp on top. She cut it into
pieces and used it behind the flower clusters. The flowers in the
clusters either came from the Main Kit (black), Floral Add On (little
purple rosettes) or from previous SOD/SOE kits. She sprinkled little gold
micro beads on top of the flowers. She tucked in little pieces of
cheesecloth which is included in the Creativity Add On. The cute little dragon eye is included in the Elements Add On.
To the left side of the flower cluster she used a couple of Tim Holtz's rub-ons (skull and writing) and also sprinkled some chunky black glitter that came in last year's SOD October kit.
Above the bat on the left side she used a Blue Fern Studios chipboard from a previous kit. She painted the center part of the sign and then used crackle paste on top to make it look old. After the paste dried she rubbed distress black ink on it. She painted the scrolls black and used a little die cut phrase from her stash and applied a little flower on the side.
Here is the flower cluster at the top right hand side of the photo. The
little spider and words were rub-ons that came in the Elements Add On.
Under that cluster she added the doily, some cheesecloth, and then little spider chipboards which she glittered with Stickles "Black Diamond". The spiders came in an SOD October kit 3 years ago.
Hope you have a spooky Halloween!
~Laura
