Good morning!
Today I am going to share two layouts from Kathy...
one fall and one winter!
First I will share the beautiful autumn layout which she created
using the November kit 'Amy's Amazing Autumn'
She was inspired by the beautiful BoBunny Enchanted Harvest paper that was in the kit to create the large butterfly.
She started with the Enchanted Harvest background paper, spread a layer of gel medium on it, and then started playing with inks. She used two different colors of ink to get a soft yellow with a hint of orange. She used 2 orange, 2 browns, and one black inks to create the splatters!
She stamped at the bottom of the butterfly to give it a look of flight, and then added some script stamping around the edges of the butterfly.
She drew a large butterfly to use as a foundation for the layout then used 5 different colors of sequins to outline it.
She used one of the BoBunny stickers for her title, and in the Floral Add On are these beautiful Petaloo flowers and leaves.
The butterfly’s head is a beautiful Prima trinket which was included in a previous kit that she topped it off with some black flourishes from her stash to create antenna.
She fussy cut several butterflies from one of the BoBunny papers from the kit then folded the wings up for dimension
Next, she moves onto the cold season, with this gorgeous layout
created using the December 'Wilma's Winter Wishes' kit
She started with a sheet of corrugated card and ripped a piece of paper from the Main Kit downwards to create a sledding hill effect. She altered a piece of lace from a previous kit to give it a rustic look and glued it to the background of the paper. She used Lindy's "Afternoon Denim Delight" Starburst Mist to give the background a hint of blue, used watered down gesso and splattered it all over the layout to create snow coming down, and a Prima stencil from a Scraps of Elegance past kit, and BoBunny's Glitter Paste "Silver" on the background, to add sparkled and dimension.
The photo was matted with 3 times, the first was paper from the Paper Add-On, the second mat was white cardstock that was punched with a Martha Stewart punch, the 3rd was a brown cardstock. She tucked in a sticker cut in half from the sticker sheet in the Main Kit and a punched a snowflake to tuck in at the top left hand corner.
She used the Wild Rose Studio Icy Wind die that is included in the Elements Add-On and covered the diecut with Stickles. The flowers were from the Main Kit and her stash.
She cut out a sentiment printed on a paper from in the Coordinating Paper Add-On and glued it above the main flower collage in the left corner of the photo. She used the large BoBunny sticker snowflake as a base for her flower cluster.
She fussy cut the trees on the bottom right side of the photo from the BoBunny Sleigh Ride paper in the Coordinating Paper Add-On and adhered it on top of a piece of cheesecloth to mimic snow, then the word "Joy" from the BoBunny sticker sheet in the Main Kit. She covered the trees with the Prima Finnabair Art Ingredients Glass Glitter included in the Elements Add-On and dabbed a little gesso on them.
She also covered the trees on the left hand side of the paper with the glitter using matte gel medium. Once everything was glued down, she covered various pieces with gesso, glitter, and microbeads (from her stash). Here's a photo of the punched mat behind the photo with the beautiful glitter.
