Kathy and Botanique and fussy cutting

Good morning!
One of the fabulous things (and there are many) about the Graphic 45 Nature Sketchbook papers in our Scraps of Darkness 'Botanique' kit is the images that you can fussy cut!

The background paper is from Simple Stories and is included in the Coordinating Paper Add On.  Kathy ripped along the edges and slid some Graphic 45 papers underneath, then added some micro beads to simulate spores that you find on ferns.  She distressed all around the edges.

She fussy cut around the main feature paper for the collection that comes in the Main Kit, and centered it in the middle of the page.

She used some clock chipboard pieces from her stash.  She used clear gesso to prime the pieces, then used the Blue Fern Studios embossing power "Chili Powder" that comes in the Color Add On.  She added a little black ink around it to give it a distressed look.

Behind the smaller clock is a tag that comes in the Graphic 45 diecuts sheet included in the Main Kit.  She did some journaling using sticker acetate on her computer.

She created a mat for the photo using another Graphic 45 paper that she distressed and inked it in black.  She fussy cut some clocks to tuck in around the photo.  In the center of two of them she used the Ken Oliver metal cogs that are in the Main Kit.  She also used a Graphic 45 chipboard tag that is included in the Elements Add On at the bottom of the photo.

Next, she die cut some ferns from heavy duty white cardstock then used the Kaisercraft Mist in olive that is included in the Color Add On.  She used a paint brush and lightly applied the paint.  After adhering them to the layout, she added lots of micro beads to look like spores from the plant, then she tucked in some sweet red flowers that came from a previous kit

Thanks for stopping by!
