Honey Resin Glittered Butterflies Tutorial

Hi everyone, it's Tracey back to share how to create Honey Glittered Butterfly embellishments featuring the fabulous Faber-Castell Honey Resin Kit included in the March Scraps of Elegance Creativity Add On. I had so much fun making them! I've also used the gorgeous Main Kit and Add Ons to create this sweet "Welcome Baby" layout. Our sweet granddaughter will be turning 3 months old soon, but this photo is a close-up of the darling booties on her baby shower cake.

In this technique video tutorial, I show you how to create these sweet Honey Glittered Butterflies using the Creativity Add On, Faber-Castell Honey Resin Kit.

Enjoy!

Here are a few photo details:

Such gorgeous flowers are included in the kit and add ons to create clusters around the photo. I softened the color of the paper flowers by dry brushing with gesso. I've also tucked in some beautiful Graphic 45 chipboard and cardstock stickers as well as a crystal stick pin from the Main Kit.

Another flower cluster shot. I added a couple wooden hearts from my stash that I enameled with embossing powder.

This gorgeous Blue Fern Studios Chipboard from a previous kit is also heat set with embossing powder. That's a quick and easy way to create an elegant finish on chipboard pieces. I've used Dina Wakley Gel Medium from the store to adhere Prills and microbeads across the page. The You're Invited sentiment from the cardstock stickers sheet was just perfect for this baby shower layout.

I didn't need to do a thing to this gorgeous steampunk butterfly from the store. I stamped a couple hearts and colored them using the Prima Peony Color Philosphy Ink as a watercolor wash.

Thanks for stopping by today!
